Founded in 2006, In Bristol Studio is one of the city’s pioneering Artist Maker Spaces. We are an artist studio run by makers for makers and we specialise in hosting space for the noisy, messy and vocationally creative.
We are passionate about collaborative working, skill sharing, participation in the arts and the consumption of tea.
We offer 24/7 access to our affordable studio spaces, which also offer shared access to professional tools and machinery, including Ceramics, Print and Wood Workshops, along with business support, mentoring and opportunities to develop and expand creative practice.
We have a small studio space and a large workshop becoming available in September and October:
Small Studio (60 sqft): £210 per calendar month for sole occupancy or £140 per person for two sharing, this monthly service charge includes all bills. The only additional charges are from Kiln Firings and for annual PAT Testing of your electrical items.

Large Workshop (351 sqft): £525 pcm for a large workshop in our Associate Space. This workshop would best suit professional creatives looking for a self-contained unit, with huge scope to fit out as required. It’s located in a factory setting which can be noisy and dusty and the wifi is a bit temperamental (although we are trying to fix this). Ideal for a ceramics or wood workshop or similar. It could also be occupied by a group or collective. There is also a quarterly charge for electricity which averages at about £65 four times a year.
