I am an award-winning jewellery designer and maker based in Bristol. I create unique one-of-a-kind pieces of jewellery based on the clients request. All jewellery is individually made for each person, my clients collect their jewellery knowing they are the only one to own such a piece. I make engagement rings, wedding rings, pendants and earrings using silver, gold and platinum.
Part of the service is to design a piece based on their possible ideas (if they have any), budget, gemstone choice, and metal choice.
All clients living in the Bristol or surrounding areas will have the option of a home visit for all consultations, discussing all of your ideas in a relaxed conversation in your own home.
I work in a converted garage, which I love as it’s my own space to be creative.
Travelling gives me lots of inspiration for my jewellery. I love to learn about cultures, talk to people and soak up the atmospheres in markets. My jewellery is natural and organic. I have been inspired by exotic sculptured flowers and sea life which have ultimately influenced my designs. Many of my designs jingle or articulate and I like how they freely arrange themselves on wearing them. My travel experiences also come through in my designs.
Since 2008 I have been designing jewellery with a meaningful and sentimental value. I truly appreciate the trust my clients give me to design and make their jewellery. The sentimental value of wedding and bridal jewellery makes these projects extra special to me, knowing I have been part of their proposal and wedding plans. Clients sending me photographs and emails as soon as they have proposed or sharing their wedding photos makes me feel very privileged.
I am a winner of 8 jewellery design awards, for both traditional and innovative making and design skills.
From the age of 14, I began learning the skills to make jewellery. I enrolled at Birmingham’s School of Jewellery and completed an HND in Jewellery and Silversmithing in 2004. I was able to refine skills I initially taught myself and found a passion for wax carving and casting whilst incorporating new technologies such as laser welding and computer-aided technology. In 2006 I was awarded Lonmin’s Design Innovation Award for the platinum Dofleini Ring. This was exhibited at International Jewellery London on the Johnson Matthey marketing stand, appearing in the Platinum Magazine and also gaining press coverage for the use of CAD technology.
I love tinkering with ideas and working on something different daily. Meeting people, discussing ideas, building relationships with customers who I often keep in touch with. I enjoy the varied requests and the creativity of what people are looking for.
