An introductory course on high-end compositing using the application ‘Shake’. This course is specifically aimed at first-time users who, although familiar with non-linear editing systems such as Final Cut Pro, wish to learn more about advanced compositing. The course covers:
* An overview of the User Interface
* The principles of nodal-based systems and layers including: colour correcting, keying, rotoscoping, plate-cleaning, tracking, stabilising, painting and warping
* Digital formats and proxies
A copy of the Apple Pro Training book ‘Shake 4’’ by Marco Paolini will be given to participants. There are four places available on each course.
Please note: this course is not aimed at compositors already familiar with equivalent workflows such as Nuke, Inferno etc.
